About MWEPC

Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center is one of 11 service centers operated by the Division of Adult and Career Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Since 1966, our center has offered high-quality educational programs in the following subject areas:

The Adult Basic and Secondary Education programs prepare students to obtain an eighth grade diploma, high school equivalency certificate or a high school diploma,

Career and Technical Education courses provide hands-on, competency-based instruction that prepares students for entry-level employment in their career field. Upon successful completion of CTE courses, students earn a certificate that verifies skill proficiency of the course competencies.
