Licensed Vocational Nurse Program Requirements
Admissions Criteria:
- Be at least 17 years of age, but will be 18 years old by graduation
(Please note: Some clinical facilities require students to be 18 years old for externships) - Official high school transcripts from a valid high school or high school equivalency certificate
- Two forms of government issued identification
- Healthcare experience (volunteer/work/education) recommended
- Complete the vocational nurse application
- Resume
- Complete the *Test for Adult Basic Education with a 12th grade reading level and a 11th grade math level
- Complete the Essential Academic Skills test/ATI-TEAS with a minimum score of 55
(Students have two opportunities to pass the TABE and ATI-TEAS. The second attempt of
the ATI-TEAS is the student’s responsibility.) - Pass the panel interview
- Complete a 30-minute admissions essay
- Obtainment of a Basic Life Support (BLS) card recommended
- Points given for military experience
*TABE is subject to change to another test
